The Harold Acton Library of the British Institute of Florence has over 50.000 volumes illustrating British and Italian culture and is one of the largest lending collections of books in English in continental Europe. Our primary collections cover art history, literature, music and history, while there are smaller sections on philosophy, religion, social sciences, language, theatre and cinema.
The catalogue offers full search facilities to help you to find books, films, music and periodicals.
If you are a member of the library, you can also ask at the reception desk for your user name and password to check your account and request books.
